It's important to marekt your work and yourself and your company, but not at the expense of generating the work. Then, of course, doing the work has to be balanced with shipping product.
By shipping product, I don't necessarily mean "shipping", not in today's world. It might mean posting product or creating CDs or submitting to magazines, e-zines, agents or publishers but the point is we have o do the work, but at some point we have to assume it is good enough and put the work in front of people. Then, of course, we have to let people know about the work and hopefully identify a small, but passionate, audience who will spread the word.
